Lyrics

The lyrics I chose are Super Woman by Alicia Keys

"Everywhere I'm turning Nothing seems complete I stand up and I'm searchingfor the better part of me I hang my head from sorrow state of humanity I wear
it on my shoulders gotta find the strength in me Cause I am a Superwoman
Yes I am, Yes she is Even when I'm a mess I still put on a vest With an S on my chest Oh yes I'm a Superwoman For all the mothers fighting For better days to comeAnd all my women, all my women sitting here trying To come home before the sunAnd all my sisters Coming together Say yes I will Yes I can, Cause I am a Superwoman Yes I am, Yes she is Even when I'm a mess I still put on a vestWith an S on my chest Oh yes I'm a Superwoman When I'm breaking downAnd I can't be found And I start to get weak Cause no one knows Me underneath these clothes But I can fly We can fly, Oh yes I am a Superwoman"

I chose this song because I feel it represents me to the T. The words to this song represent a strong, independent, lost woman. Many women these days go through a lot of obstacles in life and break their backs just too get through everyday life no matter what may try to block them from the greater good. Even when times may seem impossible for me and others to over come we can remind ourselves that we can make it on our own. I love the independency of this song because I live for these words.

Social Issue:"Betrayal"

In this picture I blurred out the back round to mainly focus on our backs and the emphasis the knife. I also changed the color to black and white and the knife to red to make the emphasis stand out more. As for the text I used a red back round color and the text to be white to match with the emphasis.

My social issue represents betrayal in love! We both are holding each other with our backs facing and I’m holding a knife behind my back to represent betrayal by me stabbing him in the back. No matter how in love you can be in with some one and no matter how deep the promises you make to each other almost always are betrayed by lying and cheating. This is a feeling and action I’ve experienced myself not just with a boyfriend but also with my best friend who both betrayed me.

Scary Effects

i love the way my vampire came out better! The tools were awesome and made me look very evtreme and real. The teeth made a crazy cool impact and the eyes just brought it out soo good. My alien was challenging but i loved the dodge and burn affect of the octopus legs. The highlights on them brought them too life more!

new

my favorite trick we have learned over the past few days is how to make your picture glow i think its so much fun how different it makes the picture look.
the trick i would like to explore a bit more with would be the backround colors in pictures and eye color change.
i loved putting special effects over my pictures to add texture like what i did with my costume pic. with the cartoon affect it looks eye catching.

Formal Critique

There is a man on his knees hammering down wood. There is a leading line that takes us to him. The steps of wood are all uneven. This makes me think this mans path way too to life is uneven. I think this picture is good because of the scenery and grayness. I also love how unique this picture is an its crazy outlook on this mans story he might be telling.

SURPRISE! leading line

Leading lines was our surprise trick.  The wall, steps, and hand railing lead us to katya. Her feet and body is the emphasis.

Face Portrait

The face portrait is suppose to be used as our senior pic. Very natural and happy looking. The tree makes it look natural and her smile and pose sway with it.

Artistic Portrait

Katya's artistic pic came out very dramatic but i love it. The way her body is positioned an how her hand on her four head make it seem like something is going on in her head.

Costume Portrait

this is the costume picture, which came out looking very fixed.  But the editing  to me makes it pop. Also her costume i liked because its very fancy!

contact sheet

My favorite trick was the frameing one, because i think it looks really artistic. I think i will use light in my everyday photos because it makes the picture just that much more better. The trick most difficult for me was the extreme angles because i feel like i couldnt get low enough and it was my least favorite.

Compositional Trick # 8 Fill in Flash

The flash on the cameras helped a lot with making the shadows over our faces become more clear. It helped alot in the really bright sunlight to use a flash. There are before pictures that are just to dark and you cant see them well, but the after ones with flash helped a lot.

Compositional Trick # 7 Drawing with Light

The trick of light is too get some good shades of black an white on your emphasis. As you can see the shade on my face created by my hand has done so. I like this trick because it makes the picture more dramatic which gives a deeper meaning too it.

Compopsitional Trick #6 Framing

These shots are showing frames around your emphasis. Framing helps bring out the emphasis, and leads you to it easily. Makes your eyes go straight to the person.

Compositional Trick # 5 Extreme Angles

This trick is used to make your picture seem like you have to tilt your head up or down. This picture doesn't have too much potential for an extreme angle. If it was closer up it would have put the extreme in angle.

Compositional Trick # 4 Simplicity

Using simplicity in your photos is a real simple trick. It takes away the backround of the surrounding things of the emphasis. Making the picture more explainable and neat.

Compositional Trick #2 Leading Lines

Leading lines is used to lead up too your emphasis. It almost seems like its taking you further into the pic making it standout more. It gives the picture meaning of what its leading up too.

Compositional Trick #3 Macro

The macro trick for emphasis and texture is one of my favorites. It zooms in an takes away the backround too reach your empahsis and texture of the picture. You would use this too show detail upclose that is not naturally seen.

Compositional Trick #1 Rule of Thirds

The Rule of Thirds is a image that should be divided into nine equal parts by two equally spaced horizontal lines, and two equally spaced vertical lines, and your compositional elements should be placed along these lines. I would use this to make my photo look more natural too the eye.
